We understand many children have dietary restrictions due to allergies, religious beliefs and/or personal preferences. Should you wish to limit or forbid certain food items for any reason, please notify us before hand and we will ensure that no offensive food items will served to your child.

If a staff member cannot be reached, please leave a message or feel free to text us. If your child's absent is not reported we are required to follow up regaurding your child whereabouts. If your child will be away for an extended period of time, please notify the staff with the dates. Thank you in advance.
Fire drills are practiced once a month to prepare in case of an emergency.
The children will be told in advance when the fire drill will occur and why.
At the time of the drill the children are escorted in a single file line out of the gym to the muster point onsite. In the case of an emergency evacuation parents will be contacted and asked to pick up their child/children from the muster point, or another choosen location. All fire drills and off site activity staff shall have a portable records that includes each childs name, date of birth, home address, parents names, emergency contact names, and telephone numbers.
All our staff members are certified in Standard CPR and First Aid with and AED. We also have the pleasure of an onsite Emergency Medical Responder, that will be prepared in case of an emergency.
Children, staff and volunteers are required to engage in proper hand washing procedures before preparation or consumption on food. After using toilette facilities, and blowing their noses. Where staff members know or have reason to believe that a child may be suffering from a communicable disease they are responsible for contacting parent for the removal of the child from the program premises in a timely manner.
Little children often get sick. New Licensing rules state that you should keep your child at home throughout the duration of the illness so as to expedite the healing process and avoid getting the other children sick. Children are expect to be symtom free for a full 24 hours before returing to school. When your child is ready to return to school, we would appreciate a note from their doctor indicating that they are free from contagions, if their illness was severe.
In the case of and accident or serious illness the childs well being shall be the first priority and necessary medical attention will be accessed immediately. Parent will be advised at the time of the accident or illness. If neither parent is not avaliable the name on the emergency contact form will be contacted. Staff shall ensure that any serious accident or illness is documented and parent's signature must be obtained at the appropriate time. An Incident form will be completed and Child Care Licensing shall be contacted withtin the next 24 hours. In case of illness staff shall ensure that the sick child is removed from the proximity of the other children until which time they can be removed from the premises.
Little Leaders Inc. staff will administer or allow the administration of medication to a child when there is written consent from the parent. Medication must be in its original container and administered according to the label directions with no exceptions. Administrations of medications shall be recorded on an Authorization or Medical form. Information on the form shall include the name of the medication, the time that medication is given and the amount taken. Medications will be stored in a locked container that is inaccessible to children. Medications that may be needed in an emergency situation may be kept in the child's belongings.
Parents shall be advised of any off-site activity verbally and in printed form, which will need to be signed by the parent/ guardian. The consent form will be directly given to the parent at time of drop off or pick up, it will not be sent home will the children. Included in the information provided shall be the transportation and supervision arrangements. Parents are required to provided written consent for the child's participation in the proposed event. Parents will sign on our site activity form.
If any additional cost for the excursion, it will be noted on the above release form, given to the parents.
